Through the implementation of CannaData.Market, we at Cannabis Genome DAO aim to facilitate securely sharing assets and information pertaining to cannabis genome research on a non-duplicatable, non-corruptible, trustless and decentralized network. Examples of assets and information that would be shared on our network include: genome sequences, variant analysis files, coding and analysis scripts, laboratory protocols, breeding information, cultivation parameters, cultivar descriptions (general text) and phenotypic traits (using standardized values).

Do I need to buy cryptocurrency to participate?

Not at all! You can join the Discord server and gain access to the community for free. This will let you participate in discussions and interact with other members. You can also view any of the resources being shared and contribute your own. Data upload and storage fees for the marketplace will also be completely free for majority of users, as they will be subsidized by the DAO treasury and a small commission on transactions. However, voting and participating in governance will require holding $CSAT token. When CannaData.Market is live members will need $CSAT to use and analyze data. You can earn $CSAT instead of purchasing it by earning from your uploaded data or by participating in the community in other ways.
